vdB 152

vdB (van den Bergh) 152 – also listed as Ced (Cederblad) 201 – is a dust cloud located in the constellation of Cepheus. On its end it reflects the light of a bright bluish giant star. The dark parts of the dust cloud are only visible because they absorb most of the light from beyond. Furthermore, the lights of billions of stars located in our Milky Way give vdB152 a dim ghostly glowing.
